RE: Volunteer Editor of On Target
Last year, when I originally volunteered for the job as editor, I liked the direction of MCRGO and the methods used to achieve our goals. I was treated with respect and fairness, and the members of the Board were happy to have me as a volunteer working for Michigan's gun owners. Since Jim Anderson's resignation, I have enjoyed managing the editorial responsibilities that were required for On Target. I volunteered to do more by way of designing each issue of the newsletter. This would have eliminated the expense incurred from paying A & E Printers to design it. This would have been a mutual benefit for all parties involved, yet Mr. Perricone tells me via email that it would not be happening. I understand MCRGO's desire for a more professional organization and that was a reason for hiring outside help. However, recently there was a complete failure by the board or Mr. Perricone to notify me that I would no longer be receiving articles for editing. I learned of this change after the upcoming issue had already gone to print. The new direction of MCRGO is not one for which I choose to continue to volunteer my time. This is largely, if not completely, due to MCRGO's new consultant and executive director. This letter immediately ends any and all ties to MCRGO as a volunteer, and dissolves my individual membership. Thank you for your efforts in the past and allowing me the opportunity to assist MCRGO. I hope the future sees MCRGO's rededication to the rights of Michigan's responsible gun owners.
Sincerely ,
Kevin E. GreaneyMembers,
Thank you for your efforts, conversations, and knowledge shared on this and the previous message board and at meetings. It was a pleasure to get to know you, and hopefully we will meet again.
