Members file lawsuit against the BoD

May 7, 2004

When this lawsuit was filed against the Board of Directors and the Executive Director of MCRGO personally, it was with the opinion that the BOD and the Executive Director have operated outside the bylaws of the MCRGO organization, and outside of State Law with arrogance and with obvious malice, toward the membership and those Officers and Directors who sought to prevent such abuse.

As such, they should now be held personally liable for their actions. The amended complaint speaks for itself.

The many contributions, both financial and in the form of documents and suggestions forwarded to us, have subsequently been sent to the Attorneys. It has made a significant impact on their comprehension and perspective on the matter.

With the filing of the amended complaint, this case takes a more serious and determined focus at those people believed responsible for undermining and eroding not only Second Amendment rights in this state, but in the process displaying a total disregard for First Amendment rights as well.

To let this travesty continue not only endorses the principals and their despicable intentions, but also detracts from the very cause many people have worked so hard to achieve.

As much as everyone has fought to regain Firearms rights and establish MCRGO as the leading voice in that cause, the fight must again be taken up against those who would use it for other less honorable purposes and now attempt to suppress those of who gave rise to it's former prominence.

This is not likely to be an easy battle, nor was it before. This struggle will be won as it has many times before and in the end it will restore the foundation upon which gun rights were founded, and will build further upon that base.

It is with that commitment that this lawsuit was filed, and with which that struggle and effort now continues.
